Recruiting Plan – It’s a road trip!

If you’re going on a road trip you need to know how you’re going to get there.  We think you should take the same approach to recruiting. The ultimate goal is to get a quality hire, but unless you’re designing what you want, you may have to deal with what you get!

So how do we go about designing what we want?  At the launch of every DT search our recruiter and writer hold a Discovery call with the client. Our writer is gathering information to create a branded marketing piece that the recruiter and sourcer will use to engage talent. From the information gathered on that call the recruiter puts together a Recruiting Plan.  Obviously we need to understand the requirements of the position, the location, the compensation and target companies – that’s recruitment 101. In order to really represent the client and the position our recruiter needs to clearly understand the true selling points of the position along with what the marketplace has to offer by way of candidates.

Our recruiter stores this plan electronically so that our quality team, the sourcer, marketing and client services can always access the plan. After all, if someone is helping you drive then they need to know the route. This document is alive and breathing. Each person can see what’s been done so far as each participant updates the document live time via 24-hour access.

This web of inclusion means that everyone is able to answer questions to the client when necessary. The recruiter can then take a consultative approach with the client by reviewing the intelligence gathered and making recommendations.
